Personalised sleep training for babies & toddlers, from an OCN accredited Sleep Consultant

Nurturing families one sleep at a time

Gentle, personalised sleep support for babies and children, particularly specialising in twins. At The Sleep Cure, I help families get the rest they need with evidence-based, responsive solutions tailored to your unique child. When your little one sleeps, your whole family sleeps.

Does this sound like your little one?

  • Does bedtime take a long time? Do you have to lie with your little one until they are asleep? Do they wake regularly throughout the night?

I can support you with self settling techniques, to give your child the confidence to fall asleep independently.

  • Do you need help with forming a better routine? Do you think your routine could be causing sleep issues?

A familiar bedtime routine can help a little one wind down for sleep. I can provide you with routine templates, advice around what may be causing sleep issues and advise of what to change.

  • Are you having to feed more than you wish during the night? Is your little one reliant on feeding to go back to sleep?

I can support you to distinguish if your little one needs their feeds for nutrition or if they are feeding for comfort. Together, we can identify your feeding goals and achieve them with gradual, gentle methods.

  • Does bedtime take hours? Is your little one upset going to bed? Do you dread bedtime?

We can identify if something is bothering your little one and with the right bedtime routine, bedtime will become a peaceful, enjoyable time of the day.

  • Is your little one struggling to nap? Are they having cat naps instead of sleeping for long stretches? Are they still tired after waking from their naps? Are you struggling to reduce naps?

I can provide you with a routine schedule that will guide you to understand the recommended day sleep and awake times to make naps easier, along with guidance on nap transitions and advice on self settling to extend the nap times.

  • Do you feel worried about transitioning your little one into their own room for the first time? Do you have a child that finds their way into your bedroom each night?

I can provide gentle, sleep training methods to support a child to feel confident, safe and supported to sleep in their own room, allowing everyone in the family to have a better night sleep.

  • Are you feeling worried about moving your child from the cot to their own bed? Have they started to climb out of their cot?

I will identify when your little one is ready to move from a cot to a bed and support you to prepare the room for this transition. I will advise you on how to prepare the child for this change and to make the change with minimal disruptions to their sleep.

  • Does your little one rely on something to fall asleep such as feeding, cuddling, singing, touching, rocking?

I can provide sleep training techniques to reduce reliance on these sleep associations.

  • Are you ready to stop co-sleeping but don’t know where to start?

I can support you to transition your little one from sleeping in your bed to their own sleep space with a gradual, responsive approach.

  • Is your little one waking earlier than your target time?

I can identify what could be causing these early wake ups and put a plan in place to extend their sleep.

  • Is your child waking for long periods of the time during the night?

I will identify why your little one could be waking for an extended period of time and support you to make changes to stop this.

  • Is your little one waking up a short time after falling asleep?

I will identify what the cause of this is and make changes to your little ones day time routine to prevent this from happening.

  • Was your little one sleeping well and things have changed for the worse?

I can identify developmental changes with my professional expertise and support you during this developmental phase.

  • Does your child wake regularly throughout the night and need you before they go back to sleep?

I will identify the reasons for this happening and suggest a gentle sleep training method to encourage your child to sleep through the night.

A gentle cure for

sleepless nights

Hello, I’m Letitia, founder of The Sleep Cure.

I have been privileged to work within the NHS for the last fourteen years, practicing as a Senior Midwife for eleven years and a Health Visitor and Safeguarding Practitioner for three. My career has been underpinned by a holistic, evidenced based approach with sleep support, infant wellbeing and safe sleep practices at the core.

My other (and more important) title became "Mummy" in 2019. I have identical twin girls who are growing up quickly, yet the memory of the sleepless nights is far from distant. It became my mission to learn everything I could about sleep training to regain some routine and much needed sleep. It was following this that I decided I wanted to train as an Infant Sleep Consultant to help other families, particularly those with twins, navigate their sleep journey..

My rapidly expanding portfolio of families whose sleep challenges I have cured, speaks for itself. I do not brand myself 'The Sleep Cure' lightly and despite seeing consistent results from my bespoke plans, I remain in awe of their efficacy. It is an honour to be trusted to guide families through this transitional period of their lives at a time when help is most needed. Due to my professional and personal background, I specialise in supporting families with multiples, in particular twins, offering practical advice, emotional encouragement and understanding of your individual situation. I have first hand experience of twins and recognise the importance of routine, sleep need and the emotional realities of managing twins with no sleep. You will be supported by someone who truly “gets it”.

I look forward to welcoming you to transform your sleep routine and regain that much needed rest.
